We did interview one bus passenger today in the restaurant of the Swift Current terminal: Eddie Bay, who was headed for a construction job in Calgary, talked about the importance of loving yourself first.
It’s amazing to go for such long distances of unrelenting prairie, so sparsely populated. These prairies are haunting and mesmerizing in their lonely beauty. We’ll spend tonight in Medicine Hat, where we’ll be part of 18 people around a dinner table. I’m sure we won’t feel lonely there.
The hardest thing about the pace of the Love Tour is finding time for the regular self-care things of home: laundry, meditation, reading, a manicure…That said, we seem to be getting pretty comfy with bus travel. It's even a bit scary when you realize you didn't mind nine hours on the bus.
