Yesterday we got quite lost trying to find the address of a guy we were supposed to meet up with. We walked for an hour in a drizzly rain carrying a VERY heavy bag of video equipment and accessories. We finally gave up on our GPS (which was not giving pedestrian directions!) and asked for help from a guy named Dwayne Tang who responded by driving us up an imposing hill to our destination. Dwayne was having a "bad day," having just lost his job--though not so bad after all as he got another job just 20 minutes later. Maybe his kindly chauffeuring of us was paying it forward, but I think that's just the way he rolls.
We were late for our interview, but the struggle to get there was so worth it. JD Mazzuchin welcomed us with hugs and tea. Then we videotaped him speaking about his struggle to recreate in his own relationships the kind of model marriage his parents had.
Last night, our interview was in a dark and boisterous watering hole called the Speakeasy. Izzy Trottier spoke openly (and easiily!) about what the search for love looks like for her and her twenty-something friends.
Tonight we finally prepared a tidbit from our interview with Charles Ramcharan in Sudbury. Click here to see it.
